What a week it has been!!! Yesterday I had the distinguished honor of being CROWNED King by King's Magazine. But you know with me NOTHING comes easy. I had to really "Fight For The 1st Down". You have to understand that the "Coming King's" feature is a pacesetter for the Entertainment Industry. It includes Rappers,Singers,Writers,Actors,etc. and it comes around ONCE a year. Me knowing when I found it was going down I sprung into action. I got right on the phone and starting networking. That lead to me talking to the Editor & Chief of the magazine Mr. Jermaine Hall. We played phone tag for about 6 hours until finally 11pm Monday night we connected and talked for an hour. It was my FAITH that lead to this opportunity. I've learned that you have to position yourself NOT to block your blessing. When it time to convince Mr. Hall why I should be included I WAS READY!!! After hearing how passionate I was he said in fairness to his staff he wanted me to do a formal presentation stating why I should & would be "King for 08". Tuesday I walked in King's Magazine and did just that. I made a passionate appeal to the staff which was backed by my to latest videos "The Good,The Bad,The Ugly" & "Feel This Way". In addition me announcing the inception of Band Camp as a label & supergroup helped win them over.
Mr. Hall texted me an hour after leaving the office and said "you're in".
So it's official "The King of Queens" has been crowned. What's SUPER DOPE is that guess who else has been crowned "The Best Director OUT" (Yeah I said it!!!) Three21 Film Founder/Band Camp member Rik Cordero. I very proud of the course Rik's career is taking. That's The homie for real!!! Shout out to everyone who helped make this happening Jermaine Hal,Datwon Thomas,Carmella Rackham,Bonsu Thompson and the entire staff at King's Magazine!!!

MTVu has developed a NEW show called "The Lab". It showcases "vintage" Hip Hop videos & content. For that reason they have chosen to ADD "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" featuring Kanye West to their selective rotation. The 1st episode is features Pete Rock being filmed inside the legendary Fat Beats NYC. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

What's shaking??? I'll tell you what's shaking!!! The momentum is building!!! "Feel This Way" has been released and the feedback has been CRAZY!!! It has been featured in the MySpace Music section and has received OVER 200,000 VIEWS. WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN. Look for "Feel This Way" to hit the networks this coming week. VH1 Soul,MTV,Music Choice and iTunes have ADDED the video. For the month of March we've got "Cons' Cinnamon Challenge" which we'll talk about in the days & weeks to come. I've also taken over Jen The Pen's blog for an entry appropriately titled "Blonde Of The Week." I've also will be teaming up with OnSmash.com (Shout out to K.Hoff) to bring an informative entry titled "REAL MEN DON'T CRY!!! Most importantly, on the Music side of things, we've got The Cons Vol.6"The King Of Queens" coming at the end of March to coincide with the release of the NEXT video "Q.U.E. Another E.N.S." which will also be available on iTunes. In addition I have begun recording the NEW LP which is titled "You Win Some, You Lose Some" which should be out this Summer. Also I have formed a group called "Band Camp" which includes Paula Campbell, Statik Selektah and Rik Cordero. Look for this to be out later this year and it will be MAJOR!!! I will be blogging much more frequently as we get deeper into the new album.

This entry is more for y'all (Ladies) then it is for me. Recently I stopped by Bay Lloyd's B-Day party where Superstar Jay was DJing. Ain't it bad when a woman walks pass you and you say to yourself,"That b*tch smells like SHIT!!!" Maybe it's cuz this was a "Hood Function" but that's the ultimate TURN-OFF. Then again I've been around some so-called "Ladies" who supposedly had some paper and they smelled like SHIT too. But "around " and "in" are two different places. My advice is when you asking the man, simp or sucka in your life to come out his pockets, tell him to get you a Gift Set from Neiman Marcus ( Every high-end brand makes one). If your "smell good" game is right you'll have him EATING out the palm of your hand and anywhere else that's edible.

So next time I'm in the club I hope it doesn't smell like the bathroom. The party itself was cool. It was good to see my dawgs I hadn't seen in a minute. Before I skate congratulations to the NY Giants for putting Brady on his ass to get the Lombardi Trophy. Word is tomorrow the parade will be downtown Manhattan. Well tomorrow kicks off the 1st session for my NEW group called "Band Camp". The group consists of Paula Campbell, DJ Statik Selektah, Rik Cordero and myself. I'm really EXCITED!!! This is going to be DOPE!!!

It's SuperBowl Weekend and amazingly enough a New York team is involved. Congratulations to the NY Giants for ending the cultural drought that has plagued this city for way too long!!! Anyways yesterday was one the CRAZIEST days I've had in a minute. Thursday Kimmy O (Kim Osario) called me and asked could I come freestyle for a new show BET is shooting called "Boom Bap". Even though I was coming down with a cold  I can't squander an opportunity to be on TV at this point. So I agreed but knew I would have to stay in the city because I had a meeting with some of the execs at BET later on in the day regarding the "Feel This Way" video. Then Guy Routte who helped A&R my LP called regarding the same show because he's now consulting at BET. 

To make a long story short they set up a car service to pick me and said I would need to shoot at noon. So I'm thinking the car isn't coming till about 11am.Man the car company calls me 8:30am. Alright I told y'all I felt sick so I was real LAZY getting out of bed. By the time I got going it was 10 something. I go to the door to let the driver know I'm coming and he tells me,"Take your time". Then I call my girl Jarita Briges @ Fila to see I could grab something to wear. She told me to stop by and she'd hook me up. So I take a shower and get dressed and this MF is GONE!!! I see I got 4 Missed Calls. I call Guy and tell him I'll just drive as long as they pay for my parking (So much for the Star Treatment). So I rush out the house and when I get to the Midtown Tunnel to pay the toll I realize I left my wallet (In EL Segundo LOL) in the crib. I tell the lady and she makes me pull over. Fortunately I had a bag of change in the trunk. I had to count out $4.50 in dimes & nickels for the fat motherfucker  who threatened to arrest me for DRIVING without a license. They let me go and I was on my way to Fila. But then Guy is calling saying everybody's waiting on me. I had to make a decision. Either go to Fila and risk missing the taping or go straight to BET. I went straight to the station and Guy was waiting so he could park my car for me.

I get up stairs and see a few of the Production people I've met from the times I've been on "Rap City". Then I see Sean Price,Dru-Ha and Prodigy. We start kickin' it and I show Prodigy the video for "Q.U.E. Another E.N.S." (which he happened to co-star in) and he liked it alot. From there they called us over to hit the stage. They had Prodigy,Sean P. and myself rhyme with a live band that played a variation of "C.R.E.A.M." and "Duffle Bag Boy". They introduced Prodigy as "The Living Legend", Me as "The Legacy" and Sean P. as "The Duck Down Solider". We did 2 taping and the shit was DOPE!!! Here are a few pics from the taping.
